transformation programs, optimizing enterprise technology portfolios, and
delivering complex IT-enabled change initiatives.
As Director & CTO of PwC’s UK Compliance Outsourcing (2019–2025), Alex
led a technology transformation that improved margins and operational
efficiency by integrating automation, analytics, and AI. By restructuring
technology investment and optimizing vendor partnerships, he delivered cost effective, scalable business outcomes.
Prior to PwC, Alex held multiple leadership roles at Shell (2001–2019),
including Global CIO for Shell Downstream Finance (2001–2019), overseeing
IT operations and enterprise-wide technology investments. He led key
initiatives, including S/4HANA transformations, cloud migrations, and an RPA
program that reduced IT costs by 35%. Additionally, he spearheaded a $9M
global tax compliance transformation. Alex began his career at EDS (1998–
2001) as a Software Engineer, gaining expertise in ERP systems and enterprise
technology.
