OMD EMEA

My role involved the creation of automated, cloud-based data pipelines and helping develop custom client software and dashboards. I also leveraged the use of a number of APIs (Google, Facebook, Twitter) to help automate a variety of processes and improve the efficiency within my team and the wider company. Some of my notable achievements were to help create a custom logic-parser in Plotly Dash which was able to create single and complex audience queries using logic gates. I also used GCP cloud functions to make a previous, highly manual process entirely automated and streamlined.

Gain Theory

Analyst

London, UK

June 2019 - January 2021 (1 year and 7 months)

My job involves working with data, including its extraction, manipulation, analysis and validation to understand the market place and client context relevance to each project. All datasets provided per project is analyzed this way, with each KPI understood and explained back to the team. Proficiency in the extraction of data is important here along with familiarity with data extraction tools (Athena, Google Trends, Google Analytics, DoubleClick), often using APIs for efficient extraction. I am also proficient in a variety of tools which helps me to analyse the data and gain meaningful insights out of it. These include Microsoft Excel, SQL and Python (particularly with the use of Pandas). A large part of my work also involves using the data to create comprehensive models based on the client, the project, the KPIs as well as the overall goals. These econometric models are built using custom software and give us a variety of insights on where clients should spend their money against their media activation to gain the most efficient revenues and ROIs. Some of my notable achievements in this role was to develop new and exciting modelling software for the purposes of auto-modelleling using a variety of statistical methods. I also worked with developers on building custom MMM modelling software, keeping particular focus on being memory efficient as well as cutting down on manual modelling time.

PHD

February 2017 - May 2019 (2 years and 3 months)

I provided daily support of account management, participating in calls, emails as well as meetings. I helped to aid in the development, management and coordination of paid search campaigns and their strategies. I also worked on a variety of optimisation projects included A/B testing and multivariate paid search testing. I was a trusted and reliable source and supported search account managers in delivering first class client service. I also efficiently managed the day to day client business, managed expectations, met deadlines as well as engaging on potential issues before they arose. I helped to manage paid search campaigns budgets in Google Search Ads and DS3 (DoubleClick). I analysed the ongoing results to identify campaign trends and key insights to help hit and exceed KPIs. I also continuously recommended ideas and tactics for campaign optimisations. My notable achievements were that I trained junior members of the team on spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets and Excel. I also helped to automate processes that were highly manual, these were then adopted by all teams globally. I also utilised Google AdWords script to automate manual tasks and wrote/modified scripts to automate the pulling of data into client facing dashboards.
