Avleen in a few words

I'm a multifaceted graphic designer, that can create engaging and exciting visuals efficiently. My greatest strength is understanding people's story and why they want to make the content they create. I believe to truly connect with people is to understand their story, and being able to tell a story. As a creative, I’ve always gravitated towards visual ways to express myself and find ways to connect with others authentically. This included photography and art, studying filmmaking at university and DJing which was all outside working my full-time job, I would call it living the best of both worlds.

I fell into working in the tech industry as a Content Creator for a total of six years. During this time I helped companies such as Snap for business, Xandr, Dentsu X and many more create engaging content about their work. This entailed collaborating with seniors and design teams from all over the world which has been a great opportunity for me.

Whilst I worked my full-time role as a graphic designer, in my pastime I transferred these design skills to the network of friends I built to help run their music events and ended up running my own. I have a well-rounded understanding of what keeps audiences entertained, whether through visuals, an event, or even DJing and playing music out to a crowd. From this I’ve developed a strong ability to connect with people and help visualise their story.

My skills include being proficient in the Adobe Creative suite, particularly in Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign & Illustrator. I'm also confident in creating beauitfully designed decks in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Canva.
