Alexander obtained his Ph.D. with summa cum laude from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, where he wrote his dissertation on startup founder preferences for different forms of venture capital investors at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and New Business Development. His research has been published in the Entrepreneurship Book Series of Springer Publishing and is currently under review in a leading peer-reviewed academic journal.
At WHU Alexander also conducted the Google Sprint Format and coached over 80 founding teams, from Bachelor up to EMBA level as well as external startups.
Alexander holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, an M.Sc. in International Management from Bocconi University in Milan, and a CEMS Master in International Management. In addition, he studies philosophy.
Alexander has lived on three continents and has traveled to more than a third of the world's countries. He can communicate in many languages, is currently learning Russian, and loves sports, particularly as a competitive hockey player. He is married and has a little daughter.
