Dr. rer. pol. Alexander Schröder is a startup coach and entrepreneur. Alexander consults startups, SMEs, and corporations on entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development initiatives and actively supports their implementation. Alexander supported building a marketplace for a product category of a leading corporation in the FMCG sector and also developed the Founders' Version of 100tasks.com, a step-by-step guide for entrepreneurs to build and scale new ventures. Previously, Alexander co-founded an online pharmacy and worked at numerous high-growth scale-ups, at a leading venture capital fund, in strategy consulting, and at a large corporation.

Alexander obtained his Ph.D. with summa cum laude from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, where he wrote his dissertation on startup founder preferences for different forms of venture capital investors at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and New Business Development. His research has been published in the Entrepreneurship Book Series of Springer Publishing and is currently under review in a leading peer-reviewed academic journal.
At WHU Alexander also conducted the Google Sprint Format and coached over 80 founding teams, from Bachelor up to EMBA level as well as external startups.

Alexander holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, an M.Sc. in International Management from Bocconi University in Milan, and a CEMS Master in International Management. In addition, he studies philosophy.

Alexander has lived on three continents and has traveled to more than a third of the world's countries. He can communicate in many languages, is currently learning Russian, and loves sports, particularly as a competitive hockey player. He is married and has a little daughter.
