Hi All,
By way of introduction my name is Jennifer Whelan and I am a HR Generalist, based in Dublin and Paris.
To give you a little insight into my own background to date. My role as a HR Generalist has always been a 360 HR position.
Throughout my career as a HR Generalist, my role involved acting as a support and point of contact to many different entities under one company which included Dublin, UK, Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands and Bermuda. I have learned so much by working across our different entities especially the diverse employment laws, processes and administrative duties there are.
My role as a HR Generalist focuses on:
• End-to-end recruitment – sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, offer
• Employee engagement surveys
• Wellness and Culture initiatives
• Administrative/ad hoc supports
• Cross functional project work
• Handling all HR queries
• Managing the entire employee life cycle
• Onboarding new hires
• Monitoring annual/probation review deadlines
• Maintaining HR reporting on a weekly/monthly basis
• Updating HRIS systems
• Drafting contracts/offer letters, reference letter, etc
• Providing a best-in-class HR service for employees
• Managing L&D requests from Managers or employees directly
• Sourcing appropriate and cost-effective training sessions
• Supporting global expansions and set up of new offices/entities within the org
The diversity in my role is one of the main reasons I became passionate about HR. Working across and alongside multiple locations and their different employees has shown me that no two days are the same as a HR Generalist. Therefore, I understand the importance of organisational skills and how to manage my time effectively which ultimately leads to better employee satisfaction and experience in any organisation.
Thank you for taking the time to review my message, and I look forward to discussing my experience with you further :)
Kind regards
Jennifer
