Hello! My name is Kate, I am a product designer with 6+ years of experience in the field. I've worked on mobile applications, web platforms among which mostly SaaS, and website design as part of the start of my career. I've been working for companies as a full time employee, but now I would like to change to freelancing so I'm joining Malt!

During my career I've worked as a lead designer on a team where I designed two mobile applications. I was responsible for defining the user flow and user journey based on requirements from product managers. Defined the design system and the component library. Designed the complete UX and UI of both apps.

With focus on design systems and component libraries, I was closely collaborating with developers on how to create a consistent and scalable system that is in synch with the code. In my recent project I defined the design principles, defined colors, typography, grid system and dimensions and using the Figma plugin Token Studio. I created scalable system based on tokens that is easy to change in few seconds and can be used to create multiple themes for multiple brands.

Performed many user interviews that gave me insights into some of the user's habits while performing tasks. I enjoy doing that and I'm happy when clients are open to answer my questions. I want to understand them and understand their perspective.
