I have a strong background (+10 year) in the topics: Molecular and Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Molecular and Clinical Oncology, Immunology, Drug Discovery, Drug repurposing, I have worked as a researcher for more than 10 years developing pre-clinical and clinical studies on protein degradation, signaling pathways involved in tumorigenesis, bioprospection of natural compounds as anti-cancer agents and developed new strategies to treat breast cancer patients. I have published original and review articles and book chapters and filed three patents obtaining the Italian register for one of those. I have supervised students and worked as Faculty Professor and have been a member of evaluation boards of students’ theses and worked as a reviewer for scientific journals. I established collaborations with researchers and pathologists from several institutions and with a team of oncologists in the conception of clinical trials to treat breast cancer patients based on our pre-clinical research. At the OrphanDC Company, I have worked as Clinical Development Liaison, supporting the development of Clinical Trials in the field of Neurology, Nephrology and Virology in Brazil. At OrphanDC I have worked closely with healthcare professionals, establishing relationships of trust, disseminating scientific data and study protocols and developing pre-screening strategies to help enrollment of patients. I succeed in enrolling the second patient worldwide in a global Clinical Trial.
I am passionate about pre-clinical and clinical research and have excellent communication, writing and team working skills. I am creative, open-minded, resilient, committed, analytical, detailed-oriented and able to work under pressure. I am an Italian native speaker and I am fluent in English and Fluent/bilingual in Portuguese.
