I’m Lotte Elsa Goos, a children’s screenwriter, a product designer of transmedia educational content, and co-founder of an animation collective based in Lagos, Nigeria. Currently, I’m a Hans Weisser Scholar exploring the future of impact-driven children’s storytelling in the US, the UK and Nigeria (2023/24). I was part of the writers’ room that developed and wrote “Kaltstart” (KiKA, 2022), a mystery series about artificial intelligence for children aged 10+. Born in Heidelberg, Germany, I have lived and worked in Nigeria, the Netherlands, Spain, Wales and the US, and am passionate about creating storyworlds and learning experiences which allow children to engage with the big questions of their time and co-create a brighter future. I am a recipient of scholarships from the Academy for Children’s Media (2021/22), the Mercator Fellowship for International Affairs (2015), the Stanford Graduate School of Education Fellowship (2011) and the United World Colleges (2007).
