- Development of research aims, objectives and scope by conducting details literature research using online resources, journals, and textbooks.
- Research project planning and management, allocating daily and weekly tasks to ensure smooth running of project.
- Develop the process flow diagram (PFD) to display the flow of energy and mass through the process.
- Derived the mass and energy balance equations using the PFD.
- Integrating/ coupling of the mass and energy balance equations to simulate the thermal and biochemical performance of the plastic bag digester.
- Implementation of the model using Matlab software.
- Perform sensitivity analysis to determine the impacts of key process parameters (degradibility, uptake rate etc) on the performance of the biochemical process.
- Developed a feeding strategy for the effective operation of the plastic bag digester in cold climate, and recommended the best feeding strategy.
- Analysis and visualisation of model and experimental data obtained from laboratory work using excel spreadsheet and protege.
- Presentation of weekly progress of the specific task to the management team (Supervisor team), and external stakeholder
- Collaborate with management to review the progress of the project and suggest areas of improvement.
- Writing of research project report and publication of results to peer review journal.
- Collaborating with peers across multiple research discipline and contributing to decision making in area of research.
