I’m an energetic and creative senior marketing and communications professional with 30 years experience in several great advertising agencies, after starting my career in a brand and marketing consultancy which was a hands-on equivalent to an MBA. I’m adept in B2B as well as B2C.

My skillset includes:

- Distilling insight from customer and market data
- Designing and executing consumer research
- Interviewing stakeholders and customers
- Formulating marketing plans from business objectives
- Creating and writing concepts for brands and advertising
- Developing creative work with writers and art directors
- Analysing and measuring communications effectiveness
- Facilitating workshops and managing teams to develop all the above

I have deep automotive experience working with Ford Motor Company, where my work has been awarded for both long- and short-term effectiveness, such as proving how advertising generated $3.2bn of incremental revenue over a 7-year period, by improving desirability and transaction prices, an ROI of 4.2:1.

I also have huge breadth of experience across fmcg and service businesses on brands including Abbey National, Allianz, Aquafresh, Barclays, Birds Eye, Coca Cola, Haagen Dazs, Lynx/Axe, McVitie’s, Pedigree, Peugeot, Pizza Hut, Ribena and Wall’s/Frigo.

Along the way my principal side-hustle was starting up Rum Sixty Six, a pioneering range of long-aged rums positioned as a less stuffy alternative to single malt whisky. I sold it to Halewood Artisanal Spirits in 2016.

I recently refreshed my Marketing acumen on Mark Ritson’s excellent Mini MBA in Marketing course.

I’m a strong believer in the power of creativity to build intangible value and drive sales.
