Virtuoso is a web automation testing SaaS solution, built on Selenium, providing an abstracted layer of scripting to provide the ability for users to create tests using a more friendly natural language approach. The solution also uses AI to improve the stability of the tests through enhanced element detection, and self healing.

▪ Due to my extensive experience in building and leading high performance automation test teams and capabilities, I have been engaged with Virtuoso in an SME / Advisory capacity for the past 2.5 years. During this time I have been providing ongoing support around the product road-map, competitor analysis in the test automation space. Providing support during existing and new client reviews, whilst exploring growth opportunities, and advocating test automation standards and practices.

▪ Providing SME support across Tech, Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience.

THG provides a full end to end solution from manufacturing, to logistics and eCommerce, enabling companies to improve their global presence. Running a multi tenant Microservice infrastructure with React on the front end and Java on the back end

▪ I was responsible for the core product, product personalisation, product pricing, product information management, and subscriptions domains.

▪ Providing leadership for 11 Product Engineering teams with a team size of 60-80

people, including Engineering Managers, Software engineers, and a team of Business Analysts, in addition to managing relationships and direction for 3rd Party integrators, Within the scope of this role I also had a team of business analysts

▪ Providing technical oversight on the design and technical implementation of new features, systems and processes, including the delivery of a new externally facing Product information management system, and a complete redesign of the subscriptions platform.

▪ Provide leadership, mixing strategic thinking and hands on support across my functional areas.

▪ People focused, embedding practices, rapid scaling, to transition from a function suffering from high churn and a resultant junior capability, into a high trust high value adding function.

On joining Cult Beauty, the engineering function was struggling to deliver new systems, features and changes due to the quality of the engineering and test practices being employed.

My focus was on stabilising and coaching the existing test function on test practices throughout the path to live, focus on the delivery of automation first practices, performance, stability and accessibility.

Delivery managing and test managing a number of key value add deliverables to improve upon over site performance in line with the growing customer base, and membership loyalty, this includes the successful deliveries of a Salesforce Loyalty Cloud integration, a SAP Commerce Cloud Implementation, and Site rebranding.

Reviewing the test automation practices to improve upon test case design and execution, whilst migrating away from a Selenium Keyword driven framework, towards a SAAS cloud integration through Virtuoso.
