Role details:
Worked on HP’s enterprise data archiving products InfoLife and Reference Information
Manager (RIM) for Exchange with HP Reference Information Storage System (RISS).
Responsibilities:
 Provided support to external / on-site consultants.
 Designed the test suite for data validation of RIM for Exchange product.
 Module lead of Exchange Journal mining.
 Involved in engineering activities (Validating, Support) for supporting RIM for
Exchange on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
 Successfully got knowledge transfer on RIM for Exchange from US team and trained
other team members in India.
Personal achievements:
Successfully designed the test suite for data validation of RIM for Exchange product.

Role details:
Worked as a part of the Norton business unit of Symantec and developed Norton rescue
tools Norton Power Eraser (NPE) and Norton Bootable Recovery Tool (NBRT). These are
C++ based (Windows/Linux) desktop applications.
Responsibilities:
 Performed high-level and detailed analysis of system architecture requirements
and functionality.
 Being the architect of the product, lead the development team and developed all
core scanning and UI components of the product.
 Designed, developed, tested and deployed the application.
 Focused on technical issues, coding and configuration to ensure the delivery of the
module.
 Responsible for the performance testing, debugging critical problems and
documentation of the system.
Personal achievements:
Designed the Linux based solution of Norton Bootable Recovery Tool and developed from
the scratch. This Linux based solution involved in investigating the suitable Linux based
live OS and other development components for the NBRT scanner. This has been
successfully released to production.

Role details:
Involved in the project called Norton Power Eraser (NPE). NPE is an aggressive malware
removal tool which scans for the threats which hide themselves from the traditional
antivirus software’s.
Responsibilities:
 Designed and developed new scan features of the product. Lead the Windows 10
support and migration.
 Designed and developed potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) scan feature for
NPE, which helped thousands of NPE users to remove the annoying PUPs from
their computers.
 Designed and developed the software vulnerabilities scanner feature of NPE, which
will detect the vulnerable software versions installed on the user’s machine and
provide details to update to the latest or a safer version of the particular software.
 Identified and assessed the impact of Windows 10 changes in the preview builds
itself and made product ready for the Windows 10 during the release.
Personal achievements:
Developed with security feature to identify the potentially unwanted programs and
started working independently under very minimal supervision and gave successful
releases to the production.

Role details:
Worked on Norton standalone scanners Norton Security Scan and Norton Experts Tool Kit.
Norton Security Scan (NSS), Norton Expert Toolkit (NET) are standalone scanners. These
scanners are offered to users/partners through various channels.
Responsibilities:
 Worked on various versions and features of Norton Standalone scanners.
 Designed and implemented Norton Insight Scan for NSS. Integrated the Norton
custom built Windows installer for NSS which drastically improved the user’s
installation experience.
 Worked on various releases and integrated new components from various
component teams.
Personal achievements:
Designed and implemented Norton Insight scan for NSS. Integrated the Norton custom
Windows installer for NSS which improved the user’s installation experience.

Role details:
Worked on Partner SDK and multiple tools for various OEM and ISP partners like HP,
Sony, and etc., and other partner specific tools to interact with the Norton security
products.
Responsibilities:
 Responsible for all development activities including design, development, support
and documentation.
 Implemented additional support for .Net based clients.
Personal achievements:
Designed and developed the .Net client support. Developed the 64bit version of Partner
SDK to support 64bit OEM and ISP client applications to communicate with the Norton
Security product which was developed to run under 32bit only.

Role details:
Worked for XG firewall product and as part of the revolutionary “Synchronized Security”
feature.
Responsibilities:
 Developed XG feature “Synchronized Application Control” and written unit tests for
new features, enhancements and bug fixes.
 Provided quality improvements and error free user experience.
 Analyzed requirements and transforming them to engineering team measurable
stories.
Personal achievements:
Improved the XG v17’s Synchronized Security features quality on high availability
environment and provided smooth user experience by providing high data
synchronization.

Worked as a part of Enterprise Endpoint Customer First group of McAfee, developing
supportability products and providing engineering solutions for critical customer
escalations.
Responsibilities:
 Developed supportability products and tools for McAfee Enterprise Endpoint group
to manage multiple McAfee products in enterprise environment.
 Provided engineering support for McAfee EDR customer demos and POCs.
 Performed Security Development Lifecycle activities (secure code review, static
code analysis, 3rd party open source component review etc.,).
 Code quality champion of the team.
 Debugged critical customer escalations involved with multiple
products/components, identify root cause and assign it to the right engineering
team to expedite the turn around time.
