Working for a major utilities client in Ireland to develop an integrated 3-year cyber security strategy and subsequent mobilisation and delivery of business prioritised initiatives. The security strategy underpinned by the EY global framework incorporated client best practice and capabilities to create a strategy addressing the requirements across the Clients 3 core business networks.
The strategy assessment identified a number of foundational components which needed to be enhanced before embarking upon major system upgrades and the client required additional time to develop an integrated procurement strategy and plan. The resulting programme of work focused upon setting the foundations of the strategy enhancing internal process, controls and governance to align with planned organisational changes.

Key achievements include:
Project management of all EY and Client activities; Business Case Development, Team mobilisation, Planning, Governance and Reporting, Financial Management, RAID
Development and approval of the 3-year cyber security strategy, including funding at Board Level
Creation of a Security Operating Model defining the current, transitional and future operating model which specifies the required changes to organisational capability and structures.
All Policies, Standards and Procedures updated to bring in-line with ISO27001
Introduced a Third Party Management security framework which will be used to assess and manage supply chain risk
Executed operational risk assessments across 3 control centres and developed response plans to manage all observations
Produced technical requirements specification to support the procurement of a new SIEM tool
Produced technical requirements specification to support the procurement of a new TVM tool
