Libertify is a startup developing a solution leveraging AI to make regulatory documents more engaging and easier to read, typically by generating a summary video and allowing users to interrogate a chat bot backed by AI. Libertify needed a senior Python backend engineer to help with the workload and prepare for a production release. Fabrice helped with the following:

• Complete various tasks related to bug fixes and improvements of the backend which is running on FastAPI

• Write SQL migration scripts to support new features

• Write Pulumi code to deploy a PGVector database on AWS using Aurora PostgreSQL

• Write Pulumi code to setup AWS Client VPN configure it to integrate with IAM Identity Center

• Integrate with Stripe to allow Libertify to take payments from customers

• Write unit tests on all new code I added

GhostNotes is a startup developing an app that would allow anyone to produce some music using AI. They needed an experienced DevOps engineer to turn their proof-of-concept, manually provisioned, systems into a reliable setup provisioned using infrastructure-as-code. Fabrice helped with the following:

• Write Terraform code to manage most of GhostNotes' resources on AWS, including: containers running on ECS, RDS regular instances and Aurora PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, CloudFront, Route53, Opensearch

• Write GitHub Actions pipelines to automatically deploy changes to source code info AWS

• Modify the existing backend software, a Flask app written in Python, to fix bugs, add new features and bring improvements such as better logging, use of connection pools and automated database rollbacks

• Define the specifications for an observability solution adapted to GhostNotes
