Complete your entire profile
The first step to being visible on Malt is to fill out your profile completely. Don’t stop at your first and last names! Add as much information as possible to make clients want to work with you.
Indicate your availability
Your availability is a critical element of your Malt profile. It lets clients know if you’re available to answer their requests and for our teams to send you opportunities at the right time.
- Choose the "Available" or "Unavailable" status depending on your workload and time to take on new projects.
- Update your availability on Malt every seven days. Don't worry. You will receive an automatic email as a reminder.
Be responsive
- Answer quickly to each new opportunity to maximize your visibility on Malt. You can accept or decline them: this will positively impact your profile.
- Send a quick message to answer a client's project proposal, even if it’s to tell them you'll consider their request.
- Feel free to decline an opportunity as soon as possible. Don't worry. A negative response will not impact you. The important thing at Malt is to answer quickly!
- Download the Malt app and respond to opportunities directly from your smartphone to be more responsive.
Update your profile
Highlight the new skills you’ve acquired as you grow your career as a freelance.
- Add any new skills to your profile. If you’re learning a new programming language, add this information to your profile, and include whether you have a certification or degree.
- Remember to update your Malt by adding new keywords.
Ask for external recommendations
Everyone prefers to work with someone who has been recommended. Malt has set up a referral system that allows you to boost your visibility on the platform.
- Ask your former clients or colleagues to leave you an external recommendation.
- At the end of each assignment on Malt, ask the client to evaluate your work by leaving a rating out of five and a written recommendation. This feedback appears on your profile and increases your visibility.
- Check your legal documents on Malt. Go to your profile and check that your documents are current, including your certificate of compliance.
Invite your customers to Malt
Make the most of your network by inviting your customers to use the Malt platform: you will gain visibility and benefit from advantageous conditions to work serenely.
Invite your clients to use Malt for projects you work on together. A single Malt assignment with one of your clients increases your profile visibility by an average of 60%, and three jobs will double your position in search results.
