Hi. I'm a senior data and BI engineer and founder-operator with 14+ years of production SQL across Postgres, MS SQL Server and Teradata, currently CTO at TAZAAR and GeoTag (SaaS platforms on GCP). Before TAZAAR I built BI and forecasting systems at Entain, Adthena and Flutter/PokerStars, including a multi-seasonality Prophet forecasting service adopted as a standing BI tool.

I take focused, fixed-scope engagements alongside my main role, typically 4 hours to 2 days. I'm at my best when a team has a specific, painful problem (a slow query, a half-built dashboard, a migration nobody wants to ship without a second opinion) and wants a senior independent view rather than a long-term contractor.

Launched in 3 months by forking open-source Traccar (Java) and partnering with a UK hardware manufacturer. This was a deliberate trade-off prioritising protocol maturity and time-to-revenue over a ground-up build.
Shipped ~193 commits / ~8.6k net new lines across backend (Java), frontend (React/MapLibre), AssetID integration and infrastructure since the fork.
Designed and deployed a rules-based charge-inference engine that reconciles partial signals (flat batteries, GSM gaps) into a reliable device charge history.
Hardened auth with a transparent dual-hash PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 migration; implemented OIDC; added multiple protocol extensions.

Security & governance: led Cyber Essentials Plus certification and defined ISO 27001 roadmap; implemented best-practice controls from day one.
Commercial: ran technical demos and trade-show Q&A, modelled pricing and client ROI, and engaged prospects from first contact through close. Directly involved as technical expert in closing two of TAZAAR's largest deals.
Consultancy: led a 2-day onsite client DPP discovery spanning 8+ cross-functional stakeholders; produced phased implementation strategy that de-risked delivery against a live ERP migration.
AI-assisted development: working primarily through Claude Code. Built LLM pipelines for market research and an in-progress agentic DPP-creation flow. Championed AI adoption across the company.
