As part of an Agile team (using Scrum) which is based in the UK, Austria and India, my duties include communicating with developers from both the firewall (hardware) and web interface teams, expanding the sets of tests in order to End to End test the Secure Edge web interface, manual testing, translating tests from the hardware team and manual QA team to automated tests for the Secure Edge project, test maintenance / result monitoring with Jenkins, and finally raising JIRA tickets regarding bugs found.

The development of tests is done in a custom built framework for Selenium and Python, with supporting scripts using BASH, all run using firewalls deployed to a Linux environment in VM Sphere and supporting clients created in docker which connect to the firewall for testing. Additional duties included the furthering of supporting libraries such as a reporting dashboard for tests, email testing libraries, the development of the testing framework on Mac as well as the clean up of tech debt.

My duties include working as part of an Agile team (Kanban), maintaining the Cypress suite of and expanding the sets of tests with new technologies and libraries for Cypress, raising JIRA tickets regarding bugs found by the suite including the Visual and API regression tests

as well as issues raised by Customer Success, assisting developers in writing Cypress (JavaScript / Typescript), JEST with React DOM (JavaScript / Typescript) and NUnit (C# and .NET) tests and some light React and C# / .NET development working on the frontend and APIs in order to fix bugs raised by myself or tech debt. As well as streamlining and optimizing the CI/CD pipelines in Bitbucket, in order to speed up deployments for the developers.

My role entailed using PHP and VueJS with content management systems such as Wordpress or Statamic, alongside Laravel. For example: A Wordpress focused website displaying the client facing interface for both, front and back end system, to import the products catalogue, all developed in Laravel . I used SASS and Tailwind to style and implement the designs for the projects. Here I introduced best practices for Functional and Integration testing using my previous experience at Autodesk.
