Established the Energy Management function and developed the Loss Accounting software and methodology. Created new analysis tools and extensively supported business development and knowledge management. Worked on a wide variety of consulting projects world-wide, including energy management assessments, flaring minimisation, due diligence, SBTi Pathway Tool development, and Loss Accounting (PELA) implementation.

Responsible for modelling, monitoring and targeting of energy usage in a large refining/petrochemical complex. Provided guidance and support for ongoing and new energy-saving efforts and developed new initiatives for improved monitoring and reporting. Helped local staff to enhance skills in this area and served as a valued Excel expert, training and supporting various business departments. Initially based inside the Sohar refining complex, but later in corporate head office for the Operational Excellence department.

Carried out contract-based work in industrial process improvement.

• Taught Pinch Technology training course in Budapest (Hungary)

• Developed new Excel add-in for steam system modelling

• Energy study at Central European oil refining group.
