I was primarily responsible for sourcing, modelling and presenting deals for approval at investment committee (IC) level. Euphrates agri-fund, sourcing: Sourcing and presenting deals for Namibia's first Agricultural fund. In 3 months, 3 of my deals were approved by IC. With a full value chain mandate across inputs, processing and outputs, sourcing deals which could provide synergy across the portfolio required creative thinking. Allegro fund, general growth mandate, exiting. For portfolio companies in the allegro fund, I worked with colleagues in value-add to identify and model various exit scenarios. Effects of COVID resulted in higher than expected levels of intervention from the Value-add team at the end of the lifecycle.
