I am a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Asset Management with over a decade of experience inside the UK's regulated electricity and gas transmission sector. I have spent my career at the intersection of engineering, investment governance and regulatory accountability — the point where asset decisions become fundable propositions.

My work has encompassed authoring RIIO regulatory submissions and uncertainty mechanisms directly to Ofgem, developing 10-year asset management strategies aligned to ISO 55001, producing Needs Cases and multi-criteria option appraisals for multi-million-pound capital investments, and governing cross-functional teams through complex infrastructure development programmes. At National Gas, I lead investment planning for security-critical gas transmission assets. At National Grid Electricity Transmission, I delivered a £50M+ multi-driver portfolio with 100% on-time and budget performance.

The organisations I have worked within are the ones that consulting firms advise. That insider perspective — understanding how investment governance, Ofgem engagement and RIIO funding mechanisms actually operate from the inside — is what I bring to clients as an independent consultant. I work with infrastructure asset owners on investment strategy, AM maturity improvement, regulatory business case development and lifecycle planning. I do not need to learn the sector on the job.
