My entire career has been shaped around the power of, and my admiration for, the written word. An integral part of my roles as a Marketing Manager, PR Director, Social Media Consultant and, of course, as a Copywriter. I often think alongside great wine and stinky cheese, I'm part fuelled by my passion for writing and the escapism it provides me with, so I find it hugely satisfying to work alongside clients to create the copy they've been scratching their heads trying to muster. I understand how difficult it can be coming up with the right text on a deadline, especially when you're emotionally invested and tight for time.... the more pressure you're under, the longer you're likely to stare at that painfully blank word doc! I launched SLK Associates Ltd in October 2009, initially to manage the Social Media of several clients I had gained with KDC Freelance and previous employment. Still, it quickly evolved into a fully comprehensive management company. It now caters predominantly for PR, Design, Branding, Marketing, Web Development and Social Media Management, Media Training and Copywriting. In the years I have owned and pushed SLK Associates Ltd forward, it has become a respected and established brand name that has meant over 95% of work generated is through word of mouth. This also led a client to invest in SLK Associates and become a Director in 2011. My time developing the company has meant I now have a pervasive database of contacts within media, the events industry, and corporate and fitness worlds, as well as a wealth of experience in many roles. Corporate clients include Talk Talk, Tower Hamlets College, Digital Vapour, Ranvilles, Paragons Personnel, Manchester Airport, Turtle Bay and more.
