My degree pathway focused on cognition and neuropsychology, and I am eager to find freeelance data analysis work. I have extensive research experience through multiple research internships during my undergraduate and postgraduate careers and my master's dissertation lab study. Under the supervision of Dr. Benjamin Derring, I have carried out my dissertation study on mental imagery and Aphantasia. Specifically, we aimed to see if simply exposing participants to information on Aphantasia, alone or in conjunction with perceived loneliness ratings, increased incidence of self-identification and/or impacts scores on mental imagery measures/ tests. Through my dissertation project, I have gained first-hand experience in designing experiments, applying for ethical approval, participant recruitment, developing stimuli and programming tests on testable, data collection, data cleansing, and data analysis.

I completed a placement as a research intern for the MSCI (multigenerational social contact intervention) creative engagement program during their Spring 2021 session. The goal of this program is to implement a social contact intervention for elderly adults who screen high for loneliness (and thus, high risk for dementia). The intervention involves pairing two young adults with an elderly adult to foster friendship through a creative project of their choosing. As an intern I was involved in interacting directly with a vulnerable population to foster connections and work on creative projects together. Additionally I was responsible for: recruiting participants via cold calls, conducting qualitative interviews, data entry, coding qualitative data collected from interviews, and other administrative tasks.
