Developping a software comparing molecules structure relying on chemical and biological characteristics As I would improve my skills in computer science, chemo- and bio-informatics, I successfully applied to this PhD project in applied computer science to take up on a new challenge. My internship in Communication and Public Relations at the Val-de-Marne Department Office allowed me to strengthen these skills acquired during my extra-professional experiences. As a communications assistant, I contributed to the promotion of the Val-de Marne brand and the actions of its President in the run-up to the 2024 Olympic Games. This included helping to prepare press conferences and public events of the Department such as those linked to the Champigny-sur-Marne Water Depollution Station. I also wrote the press release on the inauguration of the Eiffel Building in Créteil. In addition to carrying out press monitoring and its improvement, I participated in proposing language elements and carried out a quantitative and qualitative benchmark of departmental communication using my skills in statistics and data analysis. One of my major accomplishments was writing a boilerplate. Becoming more familiar with corporate culture and empower myself of soft skills Consulid is a consultancy firm led by PhD candidates. As PhD candidates are high value technical experts of tomorrow, Consulid makes their skills avail for firms at lower cost. The other purpose of Consulid is to promote PhD alongside private sector. So, as a project manager in Consulid, I had to lead projects belonging to various sectors from software development to social sciences. After understanding technical issues of the customer, I should design the mission by writing the terms of reference and monitor the work of the consultant. Then I should monitor the project execution and as an example lead meetings between clients and consultants before followed the billing steps. My tasks implied as well to find new customers in need of technical and scientifical expertise. This is in this context that I set up commercial actions by prospecting for firms or other types of customer. It consisted in particular in sourcing potential customer taking account their sector and activities, finding their contacts, sending them emails and relaunching them by phone. Promoting PhD skills toward private sector involved to organize events and meetings with firm employees and PhD candidates. For this purpose, I had to find such external actor by sourcing and taking contact for example on LinkedIn and designing the timeline event.
