In six years, I have been the primary producer of high-quality video across editorial, commercial and events teams. I have adopted best practices from each sector and brought them into each project successfully.

Editorial:

My principal focus has been original video, from planning through to publication. A campaign to assimilate the newsroom with mobile vide workflows came to fruition and saw output has rise significantly. Multimedia reportage varied between on-site recording, furnishing web chat calls with varied layouts and imagery and working independently on large-scale video projects, such as my award-winning coverage of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Commercial & Events:

Collaborating with renowned corporate clients on sponsorship of B2B video or live broadcast branding across numerous sectors, such as food & drink and finance. My distinctively varied skillset continuously opens up new possibilities for further collaboration, financing and networking to continue promoting high quality multimedia to wider audiences.

Planning semesters taught me long-term scheduling that proved to be invaluable as a video producer. Structuring lessons, theory and practical, gave me the research skills needed for truly immersive video projects. Meeting former students later as colleagues is hugely gratifying.

So much so that I have built training into nearly every freelance and salaried job I've had. Skill sharing is key when building a collaborative environment with my clients, creating an accessibly and highly communicative partnership.
