If you have already added experiences on Malt, we will identify them and prompt you to select the one your prefer for your Malt profile.

In Beta Test - Manage your expenses directly on Malt
Managing project expenses can be a hassle. That's why we're excited to introduce our new expense tracker, which makes it easy for you to submit your receipts and get reimbursed quickly and accurately.
All your projects centralised in one list
Managing multiple projects for various clients can sometimes be challenging. Now, with a consolidated view of all your projects and their statuses, you can manage everything with just a few clicks.
The quote edition is evolving
We're rolling out the first steps to make editing quotes clearer and more efficient. We've fixed bugs related to quote duration and added validation for projects already in progress.
Additionally, you will soon easily access expired quotes and reactivate them if the client took more than 30 days to validate. No more hassle of recreating quotes from scratch—find, edit, and resend them with ease. Say goodbye to wasted time and hello to smoother client interactions!

What’s new on the client's side?
During the first half of the year, we have made significant improvements for the clients, which will positively impact your experience as a freelancer. Our primary goal remains the same: to facilitate seamless collaboration between freelancers and clients. The more comfortable your clients are on Malt, the more high-quality projects you'll receive.
New service levels for your clients
Originally, all client users had unrestricted access all of Malt’s features. Unfortunately, this sometimes led to misuse of the Malt platform and resulted in low-quality opportunities for freelancers.
The introduction of new service levels for clients will ensure a more secure framework for you:
- No more spams and scams: Starter-level companies (small businesses) will have limited access to the marketplace to prevent fake projects and spam. They will be restricted to pre-payment methods to ensure your projects are paid promptly. Larger, verified companies will receive advanced support to structure their projects and will be eligible for cash advances, ensuring quick payments while adhering to their own payment terms.
- Higher-quality opportunities: Clients in Advance or Enterprise plans will be more engaged with Malt and more willing to propose opportunities on the marketplace. Plus we support them from the brief to the end of the project to ensure a seamless journey to both you and your clients.
AI support to create brief
In the Freelancing in Europe 2024 study, one of the major challenges for freelancers was identified as the quality of the project brief. Poor quality briefs often lead to a mismatch between the client's needs and the freelancer’s expertise.
To help clients better identify their needs and save time when creating project briefs, we implemented an AI brief builder. Clients can now generate a detailed, attractive project briefs in seconds, turning a blank page into a compelling brief effortlessly.
They can either:
- Import a job description that we will turn into a complete project brief using AI
- Transform a short sentence into a well-structured and detailed brief, with suggested skills and descriptions that they can refine to perfection with AI-powered writing assistance.
