About Damon

I work as a creative director and fully hybrid solo senior team. My award winning career has spanned many years working at famous Ad agencies, hot shop start-ups, creative broadcasters like Channel 4 as well as being hired directly by brands. Along the way I have delivered a vast array of fully integrated 360 campaigns covering a large breadth of brands, sectors, media and audiences.

Throughout my portfolio will also be constant example of a savvy and strategic mindset when it comes to campaign thinking and brand definition. As I believe a strong strategy and campaign thought always adds dimension and better audience recall to creative ideas. It's also an effective way of winning awards and new business, as well as sustaining long-term client relationships.

With my experience comes a lot of production know how. I have overseen and managed a vast amount of photo shoots, films, animation, illustration and graphic design. So certainly understand each and any of production stage, knowing most of all that details win the greatest of battles. I also have a lot of hands-on experience having written and directed many TV commercials as well as personally undertaking photography and illustration on other campaigns.

Ultimately I love conjuring and producing big and memorable ideas that truly move audiences. And it's a passion I enjoy making utterly contagious with colleagues and clients alike. Because in my experience and practice, when somebody feels truly part of a creative process, then they will always go that much further to support it (finding the best of themselves along the way). So it's been a real pleasure during my career to also help realise the greatest potential in others, while using that same creative lateral mindset when managing teams, crews, departments, studios and logistics.     The thought behind this posting was to strengthen the channel's brand, creativity and strategy. Improve creative presentation and mentorproducers into having clear ideas themselves ahead of going into FCP (thus growing the standard of creative while reducing time spent editing). Leading by example, it was also my welcomed duty to create, write and direct more campaignable promo's around each show (meaning a more branded series of spots that could share the same campaign thought/strapline and work across an On and Off Air multi-media platform). Hands-on in creating and then making idents, any general fillers and animation sequences. Also work at Five as a writer, film director and storyboard artist while being in charge of the department in the absence of the Executive Creative Director (Nol Davis).
