- Opre IT EOODDevelopment of web based applicationDIGITAL AND ITDecember 2021 - January 2023 (1 year and 1 month)Varna, BulgariaThe project objective was to deliver a high-engaging web-based application using AI to localize legal text errors in product descriptions, account descriptions etc. It was meant to prevent merchants from getting penalties. In addition to this main functionality I gave the idea and led the development of a secondary functionality so that the users can create legal contracts using blank forms from the app.The outcome was a highly-functional application used by more than a thousand users per month who successfully managed to check the huge amount of data for incorrect law content.I successfully led this project as a project manager for one year. During this time I implemented various tactics regarding issue resolution, project planning, risk escalation, time management and software tests. My daily activities were as follows:• organizing and leading the daily stand-ups to discuss the workflow, issues and possible setbacks• keeping the Gantt chart updated and on track• daily communication with the client and project owner• finding ways to improve the daily workflow of the developers• planning and executing sprints• sprints follow-upAt the end of the project, the web application functioned effortlessly in live environment. The payment system successfully received payments from users. Thanks to my input and expertise the client accepted the project results and was satisfied with all the solutions.
- Opre IT EOODProject ManagerDIGITAL AND ITDecember 2020 - December 2021 (1 year)Varna, BulgariaThis IoT (Internet of Things) project was about the development of an iOS application that connects to the temperature and humidity indicator hardware. This device will be installed on wooden floors so that it can prevent future damage due to too high/low room temperature or humidity levels. The function of this device was to track these metrics and send them to the app. The user receives push notifications in real time and also has statistic measurements in the dashboard.Besides my project management regular activities such as planning, organising, preparing and managing sprints, and communicating with the client and the project owner I had to navigate the two different development teams - software and hardware experts, located in different time zones. The software team received improved versions of the device that they had fit to the software. The main challenge here was to coordinate the connection to the sample devices because some of them were defective or not working at their full capacity. I managed to overcome this obstacle by organising everyday online standups with the two teams and constantly explaining the project requirements to the developers. Because of my QA leadership towards the development phase we managed to fix all errors regarding the connection between the app and the device. The final product was an iOS application successfully published in the Apple Store. The hardware device connects to the app and sends accurate data.
- Opre IT EOODProject ManagerDIGITAL AND ITOctober 2019 - November 2020 (1 year and 1 month)Varna, BulgariaThe main goal of this project was to develop a high-end application successfully published in Google App Store. The purpose of the app was to visualize highly accurate and specific data about the electrical installations inside different kinds of buildings - houses, offices, schools, government institutions etc. The target user group was electricians, their supervisors and a variety of repairment crews. My role in this project was to create an execution plan, organise and track sprints, keep the backlog tide-up, test the features and create bug reports. I managed the communication between the developers, the designer, the product owner and the client. One of the major challenges in this project for me was staying within the timeframe for each sprint. The members of the developer team often gave me unrealistic time estimations of the tasks which led to postponing the first two milestones. My solution was to escalate the issue to the product owner and to successfully implement additional resource into the developer team. Thanks to this decision I managed to get the project back on track and even to relocate some working hours from the developer team towards other projects under my supervision. The final product has the following functionalities:• login/registration• users with different kinds of roles - owner, supervisor, worker• different access levels to the app depending on the user's role• Stripe payment integration• visualizing building plans and locating electrical installation upon themWe successfully published the application in the Google App Store and hand over the project to the client without additional delays. The client was very satisfied with the end product and its functionalities.
