I setup Letterpress Design specialising in providing bespoke websites and branding to small businesses and schools. With Schools I have mostly worked on designing and developing new websites, maintain- ing current websites, design and layout for school brochures, providing training and solutions to help school office staff get the most out of their web presence. Along with these services I have worked alongside IT services company to help manage domains, intranets and school internal IT.

With small businesses I have worked on re brands, logos stationary leaflets posters and websites. Letterpress Design has worked with a wide range of small businesses ranging from TV production companies to online groceries.

As lead technical designer we worked with Project managers, Lead Technical Developer and Creative Lead on providing our clients with top quality web solutions.

As Lead Tech my job was to help in design process and looking at how designs are best implemented. Meet with Senior team to cost up new projects and assign work to team members. My team of mostly frontend developers utilised html5, CSS and Javascript to turn our final designs into fully responsive optimised html pages ready for the dev team to plug into the clients preferred CMS system. We worked mostly in .net framework with our own in house CMS system as well as being Sitecore approved.

On smaller project I would work with my team on fully bespoke Wordpress Sites.

Started working at QVC as the 2nd designer in the team working on the QVCUK.com website, Cable interactive TV platform (Red Button service) and SKY interactive and live buy button (red button service) as well as Design for Print and TV graphics. This was a busy team servicing 3 platforms daily.

Daily Website changes in accordance with planning teams sales requirements on website homepage. Weekly Schedule changes and twice monthly whole website content changes. As well as this we would support sales event days such as Gold day, Gem Day beauty day. This would typically involve whole homepage change website theme colour changes.

Daily changes to both cable and sky platforms, these would be in-line with on air and online promotions. Changes for both platforms were timed to go live at midnight.

During my time at QVC I was involved with 3 website re-designs, optimising and streamlining code. Involved with creation of WYSIWYG homepage and TV Schedule application for junior designers to be able to generate homepage cutting the time taken in creating homepage everyday. After the success of this we also created a in house template management system that allowed planners to assign product and templates ready for junior designers to then create just the artwork, streamlining content production for most online tasks
