I spent 10 wonderful years in the fast-paced world of start-ups, building and developing some awesome brands, working my way from marketing intern to Head of Brand in the senior leadership team.

I swiftly discovered that brand strategy has a reputation for being complicated with countless frameworks, multi-step processes, and conflicting jargon that I felt weren't the best solution for fast-paced, small brands, who need clarity quickly and affordably.

    Makefulness is the common thread that unites us all, experienced by every maker, whether making every day or once in a blue moon. It's a feeling LoveCrafts believe everyone should experience and it was my mission to make it happen. In my role, I had the privilege of spearheading various key responsibilities, including:
    - Developing the LoveCrafts brand strategy: I collaborated closely with the founders and senior leadership team to define our brand purpose, positioning, and personality. This involved conducting consumer research and translating insights into an actionable brand strategy.
    - Creative Platform management: Alongside the talented agency Red Brick Road, I orchestrated the delivery of the creative platform, Makefulness to ensure future marketing efforts were not only effective but also aligned with our brand values.
    - Overseeing communications campaigns: I was the go-to for transforming business objectives into compelling communications strategies for significant events such as the M&A of WEBS, Sew&So, and Deramores.
    - Crafting a comprehensive content strategy: Recognising the importance of keeping our makers inspired throughout their journey, I took charge of our content hub, video and podcast creation, and social media. In my time we witnessed a remarkable 35% increase in conversion to sign up and fostered a vibrant social media community of 2.1 million makers.
    - Driving the Private Label Strategy: I led the development of go-to-market strategies for new private label products, yarns, and patterns. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in formulating brand strategies for five of our in-house brands. Working alongside an exceptional team of designers, including the esteemed Creative Director, Debbie Bliss, was truly a pleasure. My wonderful time as Head of Brand Content & Private Label at LoveCrafts allowed me to embrace the concept of Makefulness and utilise it to elevate our brand and connect with millions of passionate makers worldwide.
